Wassup fam, the Timeless crew went to visit OTIS school of arts for the “Senior Show” Thursday night. This is the time for seniors to shine and show what they did for the past four years. Each floor had a different art field such as digital media, concept art, product design, Illustration, Visual Development, and etc. Everyone’s work looked great! My favorite floor was the 4th floor with Audrey’s work, of course. For a better/bigger view of her work check out AUDREYJLEE site and show her Timeless love.

Recently our culture has lost another one of its great pioneers to cancer, MCA of the TIMELESS group Beastie Boys lost his battle with cancer. Though he is no longer with us, we pay tribute to his spirit and the music he left us that surely is TIMELESS. So fam check the work and pay tribute to the first who fought for our right to partayy to the early morning!!!

What’s love fam? Today at noon, pacific time, marked the trade deadline in the NBA. The Timeless Brand being based in Los Angeles, we bleed purple and gold and so with the Lakers’ playing sub par basketball, we’ve been anticipating for the men upstairs to make moves to bring the team’s play to a caliber we’ve been accustomed to. Well today we find out we might have salvaged the season by bringing in Ramon Sessions probably the leagues best kept secret, from the Cleveland Cavaliers. His numbers thus far might not be awe-striking at first (10 pts 5 assist per game) but taking into consideration he’s been doing this while playing a humble 20 mins per game behind Kyle Irving is impressive. Tack onto the fact that he’s averaging 17pts and 11 dimes when starting this season, and you shed the 6 million dollar owed to Luke Walton for sitting pretty beside the cooler, you know the men in Cleveland’s pockets are shook cause this was a steal! However such is life that no good news isn’t accompanied by grief, Mitch again tests our faith by letting the floor general D- Fish aka the baddest #2 since Anthony Peeler (That’s right, don’t question my Purple) go in a trade to Houston alongside the draft pick from the Dallas Mavericks for uncelebrated and for the most part unknown Jordan Hill, a 22 year old big man who seldom got playing time.
Some might argue that shipping off Fish was the right thing to do, but I have to argue, “How?” Fisher was the soul of a locker room that is devoid of leaders as it is, with the unceremonious departure of Odom, B-Shaw, and the Zen Master. The fact that Jim Buss set an undertone of shunning any remnants of the Golden Era aka Phil Jackson’s Era, in which the Lakers won 5 Championships is unsettling to say the least and should be alarming to Laker fans. Also with the Mr. Mamba aka the greatest Laker ever aka I’ll son you even at an Allstar game Lebron, Kobe Bryant continuing displeasure with the direction of the team, this trade sets up for an interesting finish to a rather capricious season filled with turmoil and fishing for identities (check the pun, love).

What’s good fam?! This past weekend The Timeless Brand team had an adventure filled weekend in Chinatown, where we made new friends, had great food, and rediscovered Los Angeles and what makes the city so great. So on Saturday woke up with the greatest hangover and the timeless brand team sans “D” (who had work) ventured out to Chinatown for some pho. Now I know good pho, and pho does not get any better than Pho 87! I guarantee you, you will not find a better pho spot in LA, period! After devouring the pho we walked around China Town, checked out some of the shops til we found a true gem tucked inside, underneath the most pretentious, desperately ironic, store ever.. but we’ll cut the bad and focus on the good.. The Store’s name is Flock Shop and it is a gallery/ boutique run by Chad and Michelle. I know art can often times seem intimidating, especially if you aren’t already familiar with it. Well Chad and Michelle really makes sure you are comfortable inside the store, they are wise and really helpful , almost like a sommelier of sorts. The art is done by local and up and coming artists all around the world, some more known than others. But the art all have a contemporary appeal to it, so art buffs and wide eyed patrons, like myself, can enjoy the art all the same. I ended up picking up 3 pieces of work that I can’t be happier about. After that we went to Olivera Street in Downtown LA, and I couldn’t believe that in all the years I’ve been living in LA, I’ve never been there. The Horchata was crackkk and Jam filled Churros was tough but of all the foods, the Tacquitos sold at the entrance of the building was the stand out, hands down! Anyways we want to give the Flock Shop some Timeless’ love so fam if you have an itch for culture or just plain want to look at something cool go check FLOCKSHOP out !

Now we’ve known that the greatest voice ever had passed over the weekend but I wanted to make sure that all, if any, controversies surrounding her be laid to rest before I write about it. Once a great, great, talent, she had ruled the pop world alongside other songstress’ such as Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. It just saddens me to see her go this way.
What’s going on fam!! It’s been a while, but we have been grinding hard to give you some of that next level steez!! But what’s good?!!! The Superbowl was over the weekend, big big shout out to the fam in the valley. The valley always show love and we truly feel that the valley needs to stop getting slept on, real talk. The fam showed up some of that filipino hospitality, shout out to the lady of the house cause she cooked up a storm!!! We took a hundred chicken wings from Wing Stop but nobody was really messing with em, I mean nothing beats homestyle cooking and authentic comfort food (shout out to the brown sauce, that stuff goes like crack). The game itself was a good one, but watching it with the fam made it that much better. So thank you to the valley, we love you! Also, we have new sweaters on the way, trust us when we say you do not want to get caught sleeping. Our designer J went ham on this one. Today morning is gucci mane BRRRR, as in cold! Woke up, made a few calls, a couple of emails and I get on World Star and the fam greets me with this! AWWW RIOT!!! Will Smith looking like the Prince of old, and cot’ damn MIB 3 is but a rumor/myth/urban legend- no mo’ !! I remember watching the first movie with my child hood best friend, he is studying hard so that I can tell people I have a dentist in the family, but s’all good! From the trailer though im low-low key, not disappointed but a little anxious that the movie wouldn’t be on par with my expectations. Probably cause I’m expecting the third movie to forever cement the MIB trilogy as the greatest, right behind The Godfather (though I know most of us feel the third should’ve never happened #lamarodomtrade).
